Solo by Gesel Mason in response to the dragging death of James Byrd Jr in Jasper, TX in June 1998. She included it as part of No Boundaries in 2004. Mason revisited the piece in 2023, 25 years after James Byrd Jr's death and set it on three soloists at the University of Texas at Austin and a group of six under the title Seraph at The University of Utah.
